In December I made another trip to Bolivia to bring additional equipment. The School for the Deaf was closed for the holiday but I brought a tympanometer and  a system to test young children with animated toys for the soundbooth which were donated by Rady Children's Hospital.  I was also able to bring a few more Starkey hearing aids for the children.

The donated equipment has found a new home with a newly constructed soundbooth at the school for the Deaf.  Hearing Technician David Fuertes who has been our connection at the school is ready to assess and fit more children with the new audiometer and real-ear measurement system.

Elena and Amanda traveled to Cochabamba on the 23rd of November.  They brought with them an audiometer, testing supplies, earmold impression supplies and 27 hearing aids along with a computer used to program the hearing aids. They were able to fit all of the children who had audiograms and many other children will soon be tested and fit.
